two headed boy, she is all you will need. She will feed you tomatoes and radio wire

Name: Lucy Renard
Nickname: None
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Birthday: October 2nd
All Ravenclaws are intellectual, but Ravenclaw Libras have their heads in the clouds more than most (Pisces Ravenclaws may have them beat, but not by much). They are romantic and idealistic, and prefer to live in the world of pure theory rather than in the messy world of action. While social and pleasant, they are still quiet and shy, and rarely make the first move when in a group of people. In the classroom, they tend to wait to be called on, or raise their hands when they are sure that no one else knows the answer, but they do tend to be the teacher's pet on a fairly regular basis. It's hard to hate them for this, because they are so pleasant to everybody. Ravenclaw Libras are the most speculative (and indecisive) of all Libras, because they have the intellectual capacity to explore all ramifications of every action and reaction.
Birthplace: Bristol
Heritage: British

House: Ravenclaw
Year: 6th
Blood: The family claims to be pure, but there’s some dirty blond
Wand:
Pets: N/A
Broom: N/A
Alignment: Neutral. She sees it as sort of a lose-lose situation; she can either defy her father and be ostracized from her family or she can sanction the murder of people she finds largely innocent. She thinks the best course of action is taking no stance; she doesn’t want to join the death eaters and she knows that she couldn’t be the champion of the underdog or succeed in helping non-pureblood, so she thinks the best thing to do would be to do nothing.

Classes: (if you know)

Appearance

Basic Overall Physical Description: Lucy is one of those girls who never see themselves as pretty or striking. She finds her face too round, nose too wide, so on and so forth. But her height alone is enough to set her apart; standing at 5’9 she often finds herself to be taller than most of the boys, something that mortifies her. Heels are her worst enemy. But slouching is almost as bad, so she’s learned to at least pretend to be confident with her body. She is, perhaps, a bit too thin, and at moments, her friends may have to urge her to eat a little more, but she sees nothing wrong with being thin. It adds to an overall delicate air about her, as if she might break at the slightest touch. She is in perfectly good health, she will inform you, even if she does look rather waif-ish and fragile at times. Her eyes are one of her prettiest features, a soft, light brown color. Her hair usually falls long, mainly because she often forgets to have it cut, and while she half wishes she was blonde, it remains a dark brown.

Height: 5’9
Dress: She is most certainly not a jeans or sweatpants sort of girl; while not always dressed impeccably, she is sure that she is presentable, and it is far more common to find her in a skirt or a dress than trousers. She is well dressed though hardly a fashion plate; instead, she favors vintage dresses that she buys when her mother isn’t looking that she loves accessorizing. Of course, she does have a random love for her red Lolita glasses, which is hardly expected from her but that is Lucy for you..
Build: Extremely thin
Manner of Speech: She speaks very slowly and careful, and usually every word is planned out. Admittedly, it may not always sound like that because she has a tendency to ramble or tangent, but she just doesn’t quite realize that that’s not good form.
Manner of Movement:
Physical Health Fine

Body Model: Morgane Dubled
Future Body Model: N/A

Personality

Basic Personality:
Lucy is, admittedly, a little odd. Her mind doesn’t quite seem to work the same way as everyone else; she’ll often come to completely different conclusions from her peers, often ridiculous ones and she can be oddly intense about things that people often don’t give much thought to. Add that to the fact that she’ll often just fall silent and finish a conversation in 10 minutes, an hour, or a day later? She’s often rightly labeled as a little odd. Her head is often in the clouds, and she is much more focused on theories and what ifs than facts and statistics.

Lucy is rather spacey, prone to dreaming and transitioning into her own world at often inappropriate moments. She is a bit forgetful; things like names rarely stick with her for long so often she dubs her peers with various nicknames. Asking questions is common occurrence; really; she is a Claw, after all, so she’s incredibly curious. While perhaps a bit of a paradox, she is intrigued by the world- or what manages to slip past her filters. She has a tendency to be unfocused though; her mind often wanders, and it’s difficult for something to keep her interest for long. When she does manage to fixate or focus on something, it can be difficult to pull her away from whatever subject it is that currently has her enthralled. When paying attention, she will pick up on practically every little detail, but rarely does anything capture her complete, undivided attention. Fortunately for her, school manages to do that for her; it comes as a surprise to most that she actually does well in her classes. Despite how she may act at times, she is intelligent, and since she finds most of her classes fascinating, she has no difficulty excelling. Some of the more practical wand work remains difficult for her, but by and large, she does fairly well in classes.

She’s sociable and likes knowing all sorts of people, though she’s more introverted than one would guess. She will happily chat up a stranger, and while her behavior can be confusing, she’s not especially overwhelming, mostly due to the fact that she speaks softly and has a sort of calm air about her. She has a tendency to be a sort of mother hen, always making sure that people are eating properly and wear scarves when it’s cold and don’t get into too much trouble. She likes to make herself useful- perhaps knitting a friend a scarf or helping them with their homework or finding the perfect book for them to read- but she lacks a sort of grand gallantry; sure, she will help you with little things or talk you through a problem, but she has a tendency to turn a blind eye to things that are out of her control. If someone is being bullied, she’ll just walk right by and completely block it out. If there’s something she doesn’t want to see or face, she won’t, which causes her to live in her own little world. It’s not that she wouldn’t want to help or be some romantic hero; she just knows she can’t be one.

Her problem is not a lack of empathy. The problem is that she cares too much, and she can’t bear the fact that she isn’t strong enough to do the right thing all of the time or be the heroine of her story. She will do anything in her power to help when she can; her friends can always count on her to be supportive and loving. It is just the bigger, grander gestures that she struggles with. But little things? She has no difficulty with that. Spending an afternoon forsaking homework to bake cookies for a housemate after a difficult week, pulling an all-nighter to help a friend work on a paper, that is sort of the thing she is good at. She has some sort of innate knowledge of the right things to say at the right time, and combined with her calm nature, she is typically a soothing, comforting person to have around. She is good with people, and she always means well, so it’s hard to really think poorly of her.

She comes across as carefree and lighthearted; insults rarely seem to faze her, and she’ll take everything with a smile. When people speak poorly of her to her face, her reaction would most likely be a bright smile and some sort of noncommittal ‘oh, okay’ before changing the subject or walking away. Despite how she may act, she isn’t oblivious to the words of others. She is far much more insecure than she lets on; she’s well aware that people talk about her, and it gets to her far more than it should. She is very concerned with what people think of her even though she knows she shouldn’t be. She’d never dream of actually expressing her insecurities- she’s intensely private about herself and doesn’t especially like sharing with others, even her close friends- but occasionally it makes itself known. She’s the sort of person to have many friends, but few close friends. There are only a handful of people that she can really talk to honestly, and most are met with a wall. She’ll be perfectly obliging, sure, but you can’t expect her to ask much from you or share any deep truths about herself.

She’s not nearly as naïve as she comes across; she just chooses to carefully filter her world. She sees what she wants to see, and she’s remarkably good at completely blocking out things that upset her. She was exposed early on to a darker side of humanity, and, not at all pleased with what she found, choose to create her own world for herself. And she very much is in her own world. Sometimes, she doesn’t seem to be quite there or something may be a little off. She does have a tendency to have difficulty deciphering reality from fiction; she can become so absorbed with what goes on in her head that she mistakes it for the truth.

That’s not to say that she’s not lacking in any sort of naiveté though, and she leans towards idealism. She’s an easy enough person to win over, and when she takes a liking to someone, they are quickly solipsized into her world, and she can overlook any sort of flaws that they have. It’s not that she’s a pushover; she can stand up for herself if she needs to though more often than not, she’s more than happy to help. But she can easily overlook things and forgive friend is cruelly gossiping or cheating on a test or breaking any rules. She is still susceptible to romantic fantasies and fairytales, and she chooses to see the best in people because she wants her life to be like one of those stories. She fully understands that no, not everyone is good and wonderful, but she finds it easier for herself to believe the best.

Goals/Dreams: She doesn’t really have any grand hopes or ambitions yet
Fears: Insects. They kind of freak her out. And she’s also terrified of disappointing others, especially her family
Likes:
Dislikes:
First Impression: A bit spacey, rather odd, but sweet nonetheless
Strengths:
-Comforting. Despite being more reserved about herself, she is at heart a people person, and she has no difficulty being a supportive friend, and most find her a good person to turn to
-Needlework. She LOVES to knit and crotchet; she finds it relaxing. Most of her friends have been given scarves of mittens over the years, really.

Flaws:
-Insecure. Her confidence level is very low, and she’s hypersensitive to what people think and say about her
-Spacey. She loses focus often, and once her mind wanders, it’s hard to bring her back
-She has a tendency to block out or forget things that she doesn’t like. She walks by a 1st year being bullied? She’s gotten to a point where it won’t even register in the forefront of her mind. She has difficulty facing more painful truths or aspects of reality, so instead of dealing with it head-on, she’ll just push it from her mind.
-Forgetful. Theories she’s fine with, but dates and properties and spells and names? Not so much
Family

Parents: Sebastien and Noel Renard
Sibling(s): Adele Renard (15)
Children: None
Family History:
Lucy came from a fairly normal albeit boring family: right in the middle financially, parents got along perfectly, normal relationship with her sister. Oh yeah, there was the whole thing about her father wanting to kill all non-purebloods but that’s just one tiny slip up. But yes, normal.

She grew up comfortably, and while Adele was always wanting more, Lucy had no such visions of grandeur and was perfectly content with the lifestyle they lived. She was much more satisfied by simple storybooks than fancy toys so she could never understand Adele’s whining and pleading for more. In general, her childhood was perfectly fine, and she never had any real reason to complain.

From the beginning, her mother taught her and her sister the importance of entertaining guests and being well behaved; like Adele, she too thought they deserved a place in a higher class so she made sure that both of her daughters would fit in perfectly to that world. The lessons always bored Lucy, causing her to often retreat outside to escape. She got along well with her mother, but she never quite knew what to make of her father. As a death eater, though not terribly high in the ranks, he tried to sway his daughters to the cause. With Adele, he succeeded, but Lucy never really understood. She couldn’t quite wrap her mind around why muggleborns were so bad, but instead of taking a stand against her father, she kept her mouth shut and tried not to think too much about it. To her, it is an issue that does not exist, and she never gives it any sort of thought.

Her acceptance to Hogwarts was no surprise. While she hadn’t been showing any major signs of being a witch, she had always known that she was one- though her parents did heave a sigh of relief when the owl came. Come September, she was eagerly awaiting school; already showing the markings of a claw, she had read all of her textbooks, and had come to the conclusion that her classes would be fascinating. Add to the fact that she would be living in an utterly romantic castle? To say that she was enthused would be an understatement.

While her father hoped that she would be put in Slytherin, neither he nor her mother actually expected that to happen, and, as predicted, their house of choice was never even considered. The hat found no difficulty with her. Hufflepuff was briefly considered, but her curiosity and love of knowledge and theory were too hard to ignore so she found herself in Claw.
